I have an old SBS 4.5 machine that I have replaced with a SBS 2000 machines. Almost everything is set up, except I have not moved over the public folders. Is there a way I can do this without demoting the old server. I cannot have two SBS machines on the same network.

Connect to the old machine with Outlook, create a PST file in Outlook, and then drag-and-drop the public folders to the PST file. Then connect that same outlook client to the new Exchange 2000 server, and upload the public folder to the new machine. You will need to reset the PF permissions.

Thanks. I did it and it worked like a charm. I was looking for a complicated solution, when the easy way worked great.
