I am getting the following error periodically when I open or close sidekick " ske application error- instruction @ 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x0000000, memory can not be read". I don't know how to fix this. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program several times both with and without the patch. Nothing helps. My only copy is the downloaded copy of the program. Perhaps my file is corrupted? Does anybody have a good copy of the progam they can e-mail me?

Dear Jeff,
I believe you found your way to the FAQ pages and the downloads, I wonder if that solved the problem?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the new downloaded verison of the program- but I still get the same error message. Any ideas on what is causing it ? All help is appreciated. This is driving me nuts.

Dear Jeff,
I tried entering parts of the error message into google and most of the hits were about different programs, here is an annoyances.org one that might help(do you have IE6 installed)?
Select all the link and paste it into your browser as they get broken up when you post LONG ones

Yes I have IE6- I will try your suggestion and let you know what happens, thanks.

I looked at the message posted on the site you suggested. I have no idead how get a copy of Ie5.5 SINCE my IE6 came witht the Windows XP- guess I will call microsoft and see what they have to say.

reluctant to remove IE6- had to many problems with loosing e-mail files, address book etc, so I tried removing communications programs installed recently. I removed the last update from Microsoft that had a whole package of Instant messenger programs (which I never use) and guess what. Error message is gone!!! However, have another problem which you may be able to shed some light on. Periodically I get the following error message..."invalid file to complete this action, mast:wk" any idea what this means and what the fix is. Also I seem to keep loosing the prior days "to do" and "call" entries when this happens.

Dear Jeff,
I am assuming that you are using Sidekick98 and if that is the case then the following holds true:
See the FAQ area of this Forumn for the SK98 Patch which solves these issues if installed correctly (pay special attention to the instructions for installing it!)
