I wish to copy a large number of files and directories to a different volume on our Netware 4.11 server. Is there a way to do this that will retain the same rights to directories and files on the new volume?

Thank you for any help.

Jack

Hi Jack,

You can use NetWare Copy. On the client simply right click the N in the system tray, choose NetWare Utilities and then NetWare Copy.

The alternative is to downloaf Tcopy from Novell's site.

I tried using NCOPY and it did not seem to work. It allows you to preserve file attributes but it did not preserve trustee privileges.
