Long time no post...

I'm having a problem that I'm sure is an easy fix, but I can't find it.

I receive an Excel file daily with many sheets and different data. I have no control over this file at all.

I've set up a nice little sheet to pull all of my necessary summaries...but I can't bring that sheet into the new daily file I receive each day.

Everytime I copy my sheet to the new file my sheet keeps the formulas pointing to the file it came from. How can I keep formulas local (i.e. pointing to the file it's in)?

Thanks for any help.

Kevin

After you make the copy into the new wokbook, do a find /replace from the old filename to the newfile name. It should adjust for you after that.

Yeah, I just thought of that. Not bad.

Does anyone know a way to force Excel to not add a specific file reference?

Thanks for the help Sawedoff.

Edit / Links / Change Source / select link and then browse to the new file and all links will disappear as they now point to the book that you have moved your sheet to.
