Has anyone done coordinated dialing with a CS1000 and Shore-Tel? I have a site that doesn't have any local trunks so are using the same trunk group to do coordinated dialing and also make the outbound calls.

I use a tie between my shoretel and Nortel option 11. We use it do dial extensions between the 2, and the Shoretel uses the same tie for outbound and inbound calls to the outside world. If thats what you are trying to do I may be able to answer a couple questions. Im not a 100% guru on option 11 t1s, but would be glad to try to answer.

Yes, that is exactly what we are trying to do. We used an access code on the trunk group of 39.....how do we differentiate between the outside calls (on the Nortel it would be the 9+ dialing going to the PSTN) and the actual extension to extension dialing. If we preprend a 9 to send to the Nortel, but that would prepend the 9 for extension to extension dialing.

in your trunk group that ties the two together. on the shoretel, you need to program off system extensions. then they will go out that trunk group just as you dial them. you can do them in ranges, so if you have 100 extensions on nortel you need to dial from shoretel, you can add 8000 - 8099.

Which system has no trunks and relies on the other for out bound dialing? We are a ShoreTel and Nortel AVAYA distributor and have integrated the two multiple times during phased migrations over to ShoreTel.

Prepend this Dial Out Prefix: Select a prefix from the drop-down list. It is pre-pended to
the dial-out string that results from the other rules. (The Dial Out Prefix is not applied to
Off-System Extension calls.) A dial-out prefix is typically required when connecting to,
and leveraging the trunks on, a legacy PBX.

Make your prepend a 9 or what ever the AC1 is on the CS1000 (Meridian PBX)
Build all your extension in the off system extension field. These can be inputed as a range. The station DN length of both systems must be the same.
