Converting to NT from novell

We are currently networked with Novell server software and are wanting to upgrade to NT or other windows network software. We have approximately 16 workstations which are gateway 2000 with only 64 mb ram and 100mgz processors. Can we replace the servers without replacing all the work stations. Will the workstations still be compatible and operate smoothly (as they go)as they currently are or would it be necessary to upgrade all of the workstations.

I assume your running windows on the clients, if so all you need to do is add the Microsoft client for networks and then when the servers are replaced remove the netware client.
