Using Quark 3.3. I have a four-page newsletter that I'm trying to convert to PDF. Normally I use "save as EPS" in Quark, then use Distiller to create a pdf. The only problem is that my version of Quark only allows me to save one page at a time to EPS. I need the pdf to contain all four pages. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you have the full version of acrobat then you could use the Adobe acrobat part, open up one page then insert the other pages one at a time. Having saved them as eps files and used distiller to convert to PDF before hand.

Or you could create a PS (Postscript file) using a printer driver but as a file. Making sure you include all fonts in the download. Then drop it into distiller. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

Select print button. Then instead of printing to your printer set acrobat distiller to be your printer. Then print. It will create a pdf of all the pages in the quark document. However you will need to mess about with the settings to get the pdf exactly how you want it. A top tip is to remember that if your pages appear rotated in the pdf you can edit the page rotation and save the changes in the final pdf rather than remake it from quark.
Clear? It's all mud to me!

I have had problems printing directly as PDFs from Quark.

I use this method.
First I print a postscript file using a Postscript printer driver (I use the one for my colour laser, but you can use Virtual Printer if you like).
Set the orientation of the page to be portrait and set the paper width to the width of your document.
Set the paper height to Automatic. Make sure you have the font inclusion set to 'ALL'
Create the postscript file.
Distill the postscript file using whatever settings you need to in Distiller.

This method is a bit more laborious, but it works for me every time. I can also re-distill the postscript file on different settings.
I normally use Screen or Print settings to send to clients for job approval, and then simply redistill with Press settings (or custom settings) for repro purposes.
Works a treat for the many multi million run documents I do each year.
