on my companies intranet site they have many .pdf files which are now needing to be converted in to word docs. is it simply a matter of cut and paste or is it done in an import function... because of the time constraint which is the fastest way to go about this?

thanks for any help...

Hello

Adobe is primarily designed to convert docs, images, etc to PDF for portablity, compression and easy access. Unfortunately Adobe does not allow you to save in a word doc. format or readily export the text. You can extract images, comments. You can use copy and paste option to place text into an application such as word to create it as a document.
You also can us the Save As option and save it as a .rtf or .txt file however expect to do a lot of re-formatting.

Hope this helps.

If you want to keep the formatting, and you have a scanner and Read Iris or Omnipage Pro, there is a trick.
Of course, it is time consuming if it involves alot of files.
Worth a try though.
Print the pdf, scan it, and the OCR it into Word.
You would be surprise of the results. If the solution is here, let us know it was helpful so others can benefit from it as too
