Hi all,
Runnin' Notes R5 and Outlook 2000 (Exchange 2000). I have a user who has an extensive Address book in Notes and needs to convert it to an Outlook contacts list. All I've found thus far on the web is cripple-ware.

Thanks!
Dave

Microsoft has a tool created for this migration. It is called Outlook Connector for Lotus Notes or something like that. In this connector is a small app to run from a command prompt that will transfer over the contacts.

Good luck!

Perfect! Can export to Access, Excel and Outlook! Only thing to remember is to make sure your Contacts folder is empty before exporting to Outlook, the export appends it's entries to it. I copied my own Contacts over to a separate folder, imported these, exported them from Outlook to another PST and put 'em out for the user. Then just pulled my Contacts back into my folder.

Awesome job...thanks!! [2thumbsup]

I tried this file and it worked GREAT! Our company had issued on in preparation for moving from Notes to Outlook and Exchange, but it didn't work. Thanks for the tip!

I need a recommendation regarding
which commercial conversion product
to use for migrating Lotus Notes data
over to Microsoft Outlook. There
are several out there. Does anybody
have experience with any of these
products? ( I'm not sure how to use
the Notes template that was posted in this
thread. Could someone type a brief
"how to"? )

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME & ASSISTANCE!!!

Sure thing!

1. Open the template
2. Select your function (Import, Export)
3. Select the Output type (I recommend Excel since I can then go in pretty easy and clean up/standardize erroneous data)
4. Select the address book you wish to read data from
5. Open the exported file and check it out
6. Save the data file into a csv file
7. In Outlook, copy all the users contacts to a different Contacts folder and delete the original entries (easier with a clean slate, totally personal choice though)
8. Import the csv file into the Contacts list

If you have any questions, just ask.

Good luck!
