Does anybody know of a program that will run on Windows 2000 or XP and will allow you to convert a Windows JPG file into a Mac JPG. I need to burn these on a CD that will be compatible with a Mac.
and download Transmac and while your at it Crossfont. These shareware utilities allow reading and writing to Mac disks - very useful if you trade files with Macs.

What I am trying to do is convert my jpg's from Windows and burn them on to a CD from a windows pc, I then need to send the pc to a mac shop. Hopefully this utility will allow me to do this. I'll check it out
JPGs are the same regardless of whether or not they're on a PC or a Mac - it's an industry standard format that is cross-platform. *However* the way you burn your CD may be problematic for the Mac people. Check the HELP file in your CD burning software, it should tell you what to do. But if you're sending these for printing... um, why? JPGs are not good for printing due to their lossy quality. If you're wanting a cross-platform, application independant format that is non-lossy, you'd want to use TIF.
Thanks javabear, I am a photographer, when I am not teching workstations. I need to submit high res jpegs in Mac format to various publishers. I have never had a problem with Windows, but hadn't tried Macs. As to why they request JPG's over Tiff's, not sure, although the jpg's I send are usally about 5 megs or larger and they will print pretty sharp up to 16 x 20.
