Hi

I am new to this forum and I have a special problem.

I create reports from MS Access databases (2000 version) with hyperlink fields in them. In the report, they are of no use. (On table basis, they are working perfectly)

Now - I want to convert these reports into pdf format and make these links functional again.

I know, that this is no problem for " type addresses. What I need is to have access to a "file://xxx/yyy/zzz.pdf" document on a network drive.

I may prepare the link in Access in many formats (like "text", "hyperlink" or whatever) and many possible layouts - like "#file://xxx/yyy/zzz.pdf#" or other- , but I need the syntax, how Acrobat is recognizing this as link to an Acrobat document - not an address opened by an Internet browser.

Currently I tried it with Acrobat 6 professional

any idea is appreciated

That's the problem I also have. Have you found a solution yet?

Sorry - no solution yet. I think, we need to wait for the next generation of Adobe or MS Office ???

basically you need to use a server side language to populate the pdf on the fly and use acrobat javascript to change the variables that will be hyperlinks into hyuperlink. If you use ASP as a server language you can populate another language called FDF with ASP. Hope this helps.
