Hi all,

I've inherited a problem...

The short version is, I have to move data from an NT network to a Win2K Small Business Server network. User profiles do NOT have to be moved (new profiles for all). According to Microsoft, I cannot convert NT to W2K-SBS. I have two options: move only the data I want, or move the servers to the new network. Can the NT servers move to the new network?

The specs are:

NT's: 1 PDC, 2 BDC's. One NIC each. 10.x.x.x with 255.255.0.0 subnet.

W2K SBS: 2 NIC's (internal and internet), AD and ISA, DHCP enabled. 192.168.x.x with 255.255.255.0 subnet. All components are working fine.

I have 2 routers available if they will help.

What is the best approach? If more info is needed, please ask.

Thanks for the help!

Why not upgrade the NT boxes to w2k server, then move the info. The move would be easier as you'de be talking w2k to w2k, and not nt. Glen A. Johnson

Glen,

That would seem the logical and easy choice. However, I only have Win2K SBS at my disposal. I'm taking Microsoft's word for it that you cannot go NT to W2K-SBS.

Thanks for the help.
