converting .doc 2 .pdf

Hi there

Does anyone know how I can covnert a .doc file into .pdf? I don't want to use any tools, because I want to create my own software to this; I am more interesting in the procedure of the conversion.

Have a look at PDF995.

http://www.pdf995.com/

It's a free app that converts to .pdf format. works well - just remember to 'Download as Softfont' when you're 'printing' to File ie making the .pdf file, otherwise the machines will match closest font rather than the font you'd intended.
