Converting DNIS?

I am in the process of installing a new IP Office phone system with a PRI with DID's. The carrier is sending 4 digits. My problem is that the 4 digits they are sending do not match the last 4 digits of the actual phone number. For example, the phone number is 704-555-7201, the carrier is sending 5201 as DNIS. I know that I can put 5201 in the incoming call and it will work. I am just concerned that it might be confusing for anyone that might work on the system after me. Is there any way that I can put the actual phone number in the incoming call route and somehow convert it to what the carrier is sending?

The easiest and best solution is to have the carrier change what they're sending. Anything else will be more complex to administer. If having carrier change is out of the question, put the digits you're receiving into ICR, and put the "real" phone number into the tag field for recordkeeping purposes.

Thanks mforrence! I thought about that but I'm concerned that the tagged phone number would follow the call and show up on everyone's display which also might be confusing for the customer. Getting the DNIS changed from the carrier is not an option at this point. I was just taking a shot in the dark that maybe someone might have a trick up their sleeves.
