Converting date

Hello,
Just wanted to thank all of you who had helped me so far, it is a great place.

Here is my question
I am trying to convert dates which are like 9/1/2005 to 09/01/2005 zero fill.

Right click on the date field, select format, click on the format you want.

Right click on the object->Format Object->Date/Time tab.

You should see one of the format as 03/01/1999. Click on that and click OK

Another option is a formula

totext({table.date},"MM/dd/yyyy")
