I have a customer who needs to get some voice-mail files off of a embedded messing card and convert them to a usable format. Have them copied to my hard drive hoe can I convert them to a usable format?
You can convert recorded messages (*.clp) files.
You'll need some software that can convert the PCM A-law 8kHz clp files to wave-files. (A-law probably depending on region).
I just used an old (but registered) copy of 'Vox-studio' that also used in the past to convert Seltek Voicemanager files.
I played around with the import settings and just played it for testing. With the wrong settings you'll end up with noise only.
I haven't searched the Web but maybe there's some freeware to be found.
never thought to try and convert, but at least with my method you have the ability to do them as and when you need them without trawling through meaningless .clp files.
