Converting CallPilot 150/Mini from Norstar to M1 compatible?

We have a CallPilot 150/mini that's running software for the Norstar system and would like to convert it to be compatible with a Meridian 1. From what I understand that main difference between the 150 and mini is the software its running. Does anyone know how do I go about updating the software? Do I need to get a keycode from Nortel to do so? Would I loose any licensing in converting it? Any guidance you can offer would be appreciated.

i don't think you can make that happen. cp requires a more robust server. on the 11 it plugs into the backplane for power and for the hsl.

Same cabinet different software. I don't think there is any upgrade you can do. As far as I know you would default the existing back to factory default. Then just add the NEW CP Mini software. You also need keycodes for mailboxes in this system. Maybe a vendor can answer if the Boxes can be migrated between systems.

I read through the software upgrade instructions for the Mini and is says to upgrade the software, and not specifically from Norstar to Meridian, shut down the system, insert the PCMCIA card with the new software in the top PCMCIA slot, and power it up. The system would then automatically apply the new software. What I don't know is whether this would work when the existing software is Norstar version. Also, although I have a copy of the latest software release I don't know how to get it onto a PCMCIA card. Any suggestions?
