Hi All!

I am having two issues that came up when I took an extension number from my CM > Created an ASM Profile for it in User Management > Then went back to the CM and changed the ext from a 9641 type to a 9641-SIP.

Issue #1: No Caller ID's are appearing on any Inbound calls on the phone display. It just appears as "Unknown".
Issue #2: For Some reason, When I dial outbound, the numbers dialed stay listed at the very top left corner of the screen and do not/cannot be removed without a reboot of the phone.

I did a list trace of the inbound call with an internal ext, and from an outside line. The Caller ID Appears when the call is passing thru the CM, but when it hits the SM: Right after the 1st SIP Invite is shown, the Caller ID shows up as some 26-27 digit hexadecimal number. Which then translates to "Unknown" on the phone display.

Any Ideas on what I can look at to try and correct this?

Thanks!

Run a full-sync between and SMGR. You don’t need to make changes in the CM for type from 96x1 to 96x1SIP as soon as you add CM endpoint profile in SMGR it will push it to CM adding user extension and map OPS automatically. This is considering your CM & SMGR are synced.

So, what you're saying is: (Correct me if I'm wrong) If the CM And ASM are in sync, then we can add a new SIP endpoint via ASMgr; and this will 'replicate and update' the same extension entry in CM?

Yes. You can setup replication to happen every couple minutes. I set mine up to replicate every 5 minutes.

Excellent! We'll give that a try and let you know.

Thanks!!
