Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of some program that could convert AutoCAD files (.DWG) to another type of image file such as JPG, TIFF or GIF. JPG would be the prefered conversion though.

Thanks for the help!

Why don't you use a printer in AutoCAD. It is the publish to weg printer. This printer convert d dwg to a jpg.

Use the Plotter Manager to create a printer. Choose the My Computer settings that are controlled by the Heidi drivers and then pick the raster file formats. Make sure that you print to file. I hope this helps.

Hi,

I tried what you suggested and set up the Jpeg setting but when I open the new image file on a photoshop application, only a blank, white image appears..

What setting have I missed or is there anything I done wrong or forgotten?

Cheers,

Renegade..

You can plot the file to an EPS output. Open this file in photoshop, and assign the dpi when it asks. you might not see the actual lines, but they are there... if you zoom in you will get to see the lines. you can vary the penthickness and check.
Also that you would get a transparent background so kindof difficult to see lines anyways... you can create a white layer below the Layer1 and chk the output on a blank white background this way.

another option.

Export as dxf and open in corel and again export as jpeg.
