I converted and Access 97 database to Access XP and it processes queries and macros a lot slower now. It also increased in size since I converted it. Any idea on why?

Thanks.
Chuck

Then what you seeing is pretty normal.
The size change is due to a major change in the file structure between A97 and A2000. The maximum database size increased from 1 gb to 2 gb at the same time.
Performance changes are mainly due to additional features.
