MY
Any comments if i convert my clipper application by totally using Visual Basic? This is requested by my boss.

Anything that i need to consider or I miss out?
I do not know how to start because i am not familiar and need to learn Visual Basic. Is their programming code almost the same or totally different.
FYI, my clipper is 5.2e(DOS), need to rewrite in Visaul Basic 6.0 Windows. How about the database?

Is it will be more stable in Visual Basic compare with clipper which .NTX always corrupted and need to reindex?

I need need your comments on it.

Thanks.

Woa... VB is very different then Clipper..

If you wish to use a Win Envirement I would recommend either Visual Foxpro (Very very fast and powerful) or XBase++

But, I moved to FoxPro as the syntax and the data manipulation is very similar... yet more powerful!

VB.. I didn't like it! as I was an xBase dude! Ali Koumaiha

Dude, why are you going to 6.0 which is being phased out instead of going to .net?

I agree with Tekno, you may want to choose something with a more familiar language.... Richard L. Hankins Jr.
