I need to convert an exsting MS Access db to an MySQL database.
The MySql is on a server maintained by my ISP. The Access db is on my PC.
What would be the best way to do this?
Thanks in advance for any, help, links or others.

best way? i haven't tried them all ;-)

export the access table to a csv and then use LOAD DATA INFILE

Thanks,
Seems easy, I will assume that I need to crreate 'empty' table in the MySQL before.

Even better way...

Export the tables to MySQL directly via ODBC.

Works a charm and you don't have to create the tables or export to CSV first and load. The tables are created and the data is exported in the process.

Be sure to verify that the MySQL columns have the data types you want. Sometimes during the export, data types are changes.
