I have a field that I want to display in the report as "yes" or "no" and the data base (access) value is -1 or 0.
The report when viewed shows 1 or 0.

Can I convert 1 to "Yes" using SQL in the report or do I have to do it in VB?

And how do I do either

You can do it either way. The quickest is to right-click the field in your Crystal report, select Format Field..., click on the Boolean tab, and select "Yes or No" from the Boolean text dropdown.

Thanks for your responce,
that is an option that i noticed unfortunately CR thinks the field is a numeric, and I can't get the boolean choices.

Is there a way to change the data type of the field from within CR.

this is a boolean value in .Access

I am using an ancient version of CR. I don't think it has the formatting options for boolean values.

I wrote a formula to make the ones equal to "Yes" and the zeros equal to "No".

Thanks
