Hi,

I want to write a program for workstations that will be controlled from the server. Say when I want to disable all their controls, it will be, say i would like to change some of their text, it will be.

If anyone could give me an insight or a link which will be useful to me thanks.

I'm just new to VC++. Just started a week ago.

This is quite a task for someone new to VC++. Have a look at some DCOM examples, but I think you really need to familiarise yourself with writing COM components for desktop first!

Good luck.

I've read Winsock too, and there I've looked at one sample which could paint lines to all workstations from the server, would that be a good start too? But this example was written in VB and not in VC++ but I know it would just be a little change in coding.

Well, I'm also starting to read about the basics of COM.
