Installed a 3300ICP about 3 weeks ago.
Controller was running 7.0.9.5ur1 and the telephone
would just stop responding- 2 squares flashing on the
right of the screen.Upgraded to 7.1 but this is still
happening. Also when the telephones stop responding I am
unable to browse ESM.

Has anyone seen this problem before?

Forgot to mention at times the telephones starts to
respond or you have to reboot.

I am currently working with Mitel tech support for the same if not similar problem. Mine is an MXe with Raid. There is no resolution yet.

My Biggest problem is that I almost always believe what I tell myself.

It sounds like the system is rebooting.

The 2 squares indicate a loss of communication to the controller and the set is looking for a resilient controller.

Have you checked your maintenance logs for the time the system failed?

The secret to success is knowing who to blame for your failures.

What "HeartBeat" messages do you get in the logs for that particular IP set?

You dont have Opsman or another controller IP in your DCHP scope ? Sounds like the set thinks its resilient.

can you help? icp 3300 7.1
I have a similar problem with random handsets losing comms.
reboot phone a couple of times then its ok. here is a sample of messages i get in maint logs:

What is the distance of the ethernet cable? You should remember that physical limit is 300ft.

Took this controller out of the field and placed in workshop.Today phones went down and I connected my laptop to maint. port.I got the following message on my screen:

interrupt: panic: netJobAdd: ring buffer overflow!

2 hours has passed and phones are still out.

Any info from the network switch? Ethernet errors, traffic stats?
