Control Limit and control Arrays

In vb6 there was a limit of 255 controls on a single form, does this limit still apply in vb.net?
It seems that vb.net no longer supports control arrays, so if you had control arrays in a vb6 project how are these arrays affected in the upgrade process from vb6 to vb.net?
