Here's the deal. I have a old P2 machine with 100GB of storage on it that I want to turn in to a webserver for a local site i am building. With nothing else running it should be more than enough box to handle it, and that way i have a good fileserver as well.

Problem is the monitor for the box went bad and I got rid of it. Now I need to reinstall the OS. (WinXP becuase I don't trust server 2003 yet.) Is there a way to make my laptop act as the display/keyboard/mouse for the other box?

If I could route the controls and display through my laptop, then I could do the install taht way. Won't be a problem after the install is done becuase I will have terminal services that i can use to do the administration.

If I am nuts here, please let me know. But if it's possible, I would love to find out how this works.

The money's gone, the brain is shot.....but the liquor we still got.

That's what I have been finding out.
Thanks anyway.
