I'm looking to use up some end-of-year training dollars. However, the travel to get to training is got. Specifically, I'm looking at training on Contivity configuration (1100 and 2600).

Global Knowledge offers CD-based and web-based courses on the Contivity, but before I drop the chunk of change that they want for it, I am trying to find out if anyone here has used these Nortel courses. I have had a Global Knowledge Meridian PBX course before, but it was instructor led.

Also, if anyone knows of books convering the Contivity, it would be helpful.

Have you tried your Nortel sales support staff?
Usually you can get good info/hands on from them.

I had a former Nortel tech install my four Contivity boxes. However, we are going to be expanding them by 8-10 units in the future, and do the programming and installation myself, rather than depend on his services.

I asked him about the Global Knowledge training but he didn't know of anyone who had used it for the Contivity.

Not sure about the US but I took the course in the UK with Global.
They should be the same wherever as the criteria is set by Nortel.

It was a good course and althouh I had worked on the Contivity for 6 months before it filled in all the gaps.

Our facility has used Global Knowledge for our Nortel Training since Nortel sold out to them. I just had one of our engineers return from the Contivity class and he said it was one of the best classes he has attended.

We have not used their web based or CD classes yet but we will be doing so for some of the Succession courses.

Sorry, would be a great trip to NYC, but we're located in Missouri.
