What is the maximum throughput that a contivity 100 will achieve.

Jonks,

I just installed a ces100 the other day. Using netiq qcheck i got 44Mbps in one direction and 70Mbps in the other. In other words, the throughput is probably way beyond what your WAN connection can handle.

Having said that, I was merely using the ces100 as a basic router, the config was not that fancy. The difference between the figures was due to the different specification computers that I was testing with.

Basically, the lower figure for the ces100 is about 85,000 packets per second. A Bay Networks ARN can handle about 25,000 pps while a Cisco 2500 can handle about 20,000 pps.

Thanks for that. Could you tell me if the ISDN interface on one of these can be configured to dial up on failure of the primary circuit.
