Continuous Form Suggestions?

Hi All,

I have a continuous form that's used to enter employee time. There is a drop down box that the user selects a Pay code. The pay code determines if the user enters "Hours" or a "Flat Dollar Amount"

I'm either looking for a way to have one Amount field where the Format changes accordingly from Currency to General Number.

OR

A way to disable/enable the Hours vs Amount fields based on the Pay code selected.

This wouldn't be a problem on a "Form" but a "Continuous" form makes this a bit tricky.

Any suggestions? Know of any fancy Grid controls that could handle this?

You can use Conditonal Formatting with an expression (Expression Is) to disable a control based on the value of another control.

I think you can only use conditional formatting for background and font colors, etc. right? Not enabling or disabling a control?

In Access 2000, the very last icon in the row, just after font colour, allows enabling and disabling.
