Hi everyone,

This is a related question to one I proposed last week. This time, I need to ask if anyone knows of a suitable container/control which will allow me to save both text and graphics. I know that a Rich Text Format control will do it, but that saves it in RTF format, which, with graphics, seriously bloats the file. Ideally, I would like to be able to either:

a) extract the image (image has been input into the control using print screen, and then pasted.) and save it to a file, and then placing some kind of identifying string as to where the image is stored. It would be preferable if the image could be converted to jpeg.

If this method was possible, I could still use the RTF control.

b) use Microsoft Word to receive the contents of the RTF control, without having to save the contents of it to an RTF format file (otherwise this process could take a while).

Is it possible to use Microsoft Word directly from the program - like in Outlook, where it uses Word as the email editor.

Any other suggestions?

I know that this seems a bit iffy, but that is because one of the requirements that I am faced with is to make the database similar to something provided by lotus notes, where they would be able to do a print screen and paste it directly into the control.

Thank you,

Nick

Something like the design view mode of MS Frontpage would be ideal, I think.

Is it possible to edit things in a web browser control?

That was something I considered, but was unsure.

Please, can anyone help with this? Can anyone suggest a control to be used, and preferably explaining basically how to use it?

Thank you,

Nick
