I am having difficulties making 1X portal 9.1 (pack 4) works on the same server that already have vmpro and contactstore working!
I think I am having a conflict on my 8443 port.
The Docs says : The default port configuration on Windows is 8443 and Linux is 9443. Both these ports should be unoccupied.
but mine is already occupied on the server :
TCP 0.0.0.0:8443 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 1444
[java.exe]
when I try to launch the 1X portal with the URL I get this message :
HTTP Status 404 - /onexportal.html
type Status report
message /onexportal.html
description The requested resource (/onexportal.html) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/5.5.25

and the URL changes to any ideas on this issue would be appreciated
Thanks

one-X Portal access on 8080 is not enabled by default, you need to go into the admin menus to enable it.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Top tip. I wouldn't have thunk of it.

Why spoil your little dreams? Why put you through the hate?

the same setup on an other Win2012 server works fine with both apps on it but the difference is I do have a 9.0 environment rather than the 9.1 environment that is still not working

Have you enabled HTTP access in the 9.1 admin settings?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

sizbut: what admin settings you talking about?
I can't access the 1X portal admin settings neither!

Really!!! What appears on the screen at 8443?

What does the doc you read about the ports in say about how to log in as the administrator?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

sizbut:
this error message appears :
HTTP Status 404 - /onexportal-admin.html
type Status report
message /onexportal-admin.html
description The requested resource (/onexportal-admin.html) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/5.5.25

Because the browser is trying to open but that is not what I'm asking for.
I asked for The Docs says : To log in:
1. In your web browser, enter the URL in the form of name>:<server port>/onexportal-admin.html where:
• <server name> is the name or the IP address the one-X Portal for IP Office server.
• <server port> is the port number used by the one-X Portal for IP Office. This will be either 9443 or 8443 for HTTPS access.
• You can use http:// rather than https:// and 8080 as the port if unsecure access has been configured.

But I need to get access to the admin settings so I can enable Unsecure and secure (HTTP and HTTPS) because by default I think It forces secure connection HTTPS

But I need to get access to the admin settings so I can enable Unsecure and secure (HTTP and HTTPS) because by default I think It forces secure connection HTTPS

So you know HTTP is not enabled yet and that it forces HTTPS.... So why are you still trying to access it on a port you know isn't active yet and asking us why, you know why, it isn't enabled yet :)

amriddle01: I know i just figured that out while answering my post :)
now how can i enable the HTTP access ?

Problem fixed:
I had to stop the ContactStore service so I can get access to the Portal admin setting.
Thanks guys
