Contacting: server message

Hello all, I am running Office 2010 and I get this on the left side of the screen on Word, Excel, PowerPoint... and on all MS applications this message

Contacting: \\server name\file Press ESC to Cancel

Files open after 20sec or so.

This is what I tried:

Checked plugins
Checked printer driver
Updated NIC driver
Disabled templates
Reinstalled office

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried turning off Firewalls?
