Hi, have a Contact Store where the service won't start.
Have worked and it seems that everything is ok, but the service will not start.
Is there any Windows security or other thing anyone knows of that can cause this.
Thanks

What other applications do you have running

Specifically, what database servers?

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Hi, server is only for VMPro, Contact Store and TFTP server ( MV_iptel).

I think this service is using Port 8888, so you probably have something that is blocking that port.

use the AvayaFW firewall thing on the voicemial/contact store machine, probably a update or something blocking the port

Hi, firewall is disabled at this time.

When you say the service won't start

Do you mean that the service shows stopped in administrative tools -> services or that you can't browse to the web application?

check the event log see if it shows any reason why the service is not working,

what error message do you get if you try and restart the service?

what does the server log on as?

Nothing in event log.
Problem solved by reinstalling Contact Store but don't know what caused the problem

Check the HTTP SSL service and see if it is set to Disabled. If so set it to Manual. Then check the World Wide Web Publishing service and make sure that it is started. After that see if Contact Store will start. This may not impact Contact Store but it does stop UMS from installing/working so you might want to give it a shot.
