Dear All.

What is this contact store in IP Office what is the features & how to install this is there any software from Avaya for this Contact store ..

Pls give me some tips on this

It is a recording suite that records random or manditory calls on the IP office. It can be listened to via your web browser from a local web server on your network. You must purchase the necessary licenses to use it. The software is free on the avaya web site.

It can be run in trail mode for 45 days without a licence
(trial starts from date of 1st recording).

unfortunatly if the customer decides to keep the product it needs to be fully uninstalled & reinstalled.

IPGuru, why must it be re-installed? I was not aware of that. I have installed CS twice now and never read that anywhere. But then again, ive always used the license from the beginning. When in trial mode without license, would you not just have to install the license file and then it should be fully functional?

Howdy,
Has any one had any problems with extremely poor quality when making external calls whilst the vrl is on?

Yes there is: 3.0(597102) fixes this bug.
Be warned however this fix was removed deliberately in the november trial release in order to fix other issues. 3.0(68) that is.

The reinstal to get the software operational after the trial period has expired wass somthing that was highlighted repeatedly when I ateded the Advanced Aplications WorkShop

I believe that the call recording database is preserved (but could be wrong).

Is Contact Store will allow to Play the recorded conversation to the client over the existing connection? I mean if I need to prove something to the client, can I play the previously recorded conversation with the client on the line?

Thanks,

Oleg

Yeah, I think you could create a conference with the caller and the vmail to play back msg. Never actually tried it, but makes sense that you could.

Well, then a question will be how to create a conference if ContactStore is using IE to search for messages. It has nothing to do with the Phone Manager... Thanks anyway for your response. Honestly, I don't understand why someone will need to search and play messages if the is no way to play them back to the person who was involved in the conversation (and pay for licenses).

Oleg

It is used for other purposes such a quality control. Supervisors like to be sure that their agents are doing a good job and being profesional when talking to customers. You could also send the recorded msg to a box as well on manual or auto recording. Thats where I was going with that when I said you could conference a caller into vmail to listen to a recorded message.
