Hello All,

A client of ours is running an IP Office R7 500v2 system and records all calls with contact store. (VoiceMail pro).

However, all recordings seem to start a few seconds to late. We cannot hear the calling party or ourselfs announce the call. The delay seems no more than 3 seconds, but is bugging me none the less. Any tips?

Regards,
Tommie

An upgrade of firmware should fix it, it was a known issue :)

Hello Amriddle01,

I have not found this issue in any of the release notes. What firmware should be upgraded? IP Office R7? Or contact store?

Regards,
Tommie

What release 7 do you use?
We also need to know which version of voicemail pro you use.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

are they running VM pro 7.0.19??? Although ContactStore archives and compresses recordings, it's VM pro that actually records them. There is (was) a known bug with 7.0.19 that the first few seconds of a VM message (recording) were clipped off. I presume this bug would also apply to any recording that VM Pro would make.

Upgrading VM pro to 7.0.23 fixes this issue.

You are all heroes. I will dive in to this immediately! ;)

FWIW, someone wrote on this board that this "clipping" bug in VM pro had appeared and been squashed several times. For example, the clipping bug was NOT present in 7.0.17, was reintroduced in 7.0.19, and squashed (again) in 7.0.23. IIRC the bug was also present at some stage in the 6.x.x series of VM pro software releases.

Hey Greybeard!

Yeah I looked at it. I also upgraded to 7.0.23 to no relieve... :( It does seem like I have to dive in to this thread of yours. How to negate those parameters? I will look into it... :D

Regards,
Tommie
