anyone running contact recorder on a server by itself? right now we have the VMPro running on a server and I was hoping not to have to change this out for a 2 Drive server if I don't need to. from what I see in the docs we should be able to run it either way.

Alright bringing in 2 servers to the lab and going to give it a try.

Never tried it but is should not be a problem.

Personalty I would simply add a 2nd drive the to the current system

It should also be possible to use LVM to resize the partitions on the existing Apps serve & create a new one for contact store

You can also simply cheat & not bother with a 2nd drive but this is not recommended as then CS cannot reliably assess free space

As far as the OS is concerned CS is simply using a directly in the file system tree & does not care whether this is on the main drive a partition or another drive.

(Actually a Linux Admin would probably go the route of adding another LVM partition as these can be expanded at will & extended over multiple drives as needed)

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Ok we got it on it's on server and everything seemed to be going great until we tried to listen to the file. You can record and you see that the recording gets placed into the server that has recorder loaded on it. But when you try to go and listen to that file you get the dreaded "Bad HTTP Status Code 403". Anyone have any idea what to look at? The ActiveX and everything loaded without any issues and we've went back in and made sure it's marked as a trusted site with minimal security just for testing but still cannot get to it.

Hi I had the same issue. Please check you NTP settings, if the VMPRO server and the ACR server time settings are off then the problem will continue
To test set the time to manual and set bot the servers to the correct time. Make sure the IPO has the same time as well. This fixed my issue

I'll give that a try when I get a chance later today. thanks

Hi.

How did you get past "Bad HTTP Status Code 403"?

Read the post.He said how.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
