Hi guys

Does any one yet any experience of working with the new Contact Recorder SW available on R9?

I am in the process of upgrading our in house kit and would love to be able to move another piece of SW away from the grips of Microsoft Windows.

I understand the ins and out around it having to be on a dedicated sever etc but can anyone give me a definitive yes or no to if it works on standalone IPO as we don't run server edition?

The below blurb from the KB suggests that Server Edition is required but I have also been told that it will run on standalone IPO

For IP Office Release 9.0, IP Office supports Contact Recorder for IP Office with Server Edition servers.

I will hopefully get around to trying this before the end of the week but I don't want to waste my time if others have tried without success.

Thanks!

I think the advise on seperate partitions relates to the windows server versions
Linux handles its filesystems in a totally different way so it is probably not an issue.

Again I have not tested any of this on a full system yet so it would be wise to read the documentation for the Linux version (if any exists)

Well I installed the ContactRecorder on the same server as Voicemail and it works as expect so the problem definitely is the transfer of the recordings from one server to the other.

The difficult part now is to figure out how to set this up as Knowledgebase is quite vague with their instructions and mentions nothing about having to share folders etc.

To confirm, both VM and Contact Recorder will be operating in a Linux environment so sharing folders like we do when using ContactStore in a Windows environment is not relevant. I'm sure there is a a way but I will happy admit I haven't got a clue how to do it.

Any pointers would be appreciated!

Did you guys find a solution Im in the same predicament.
Avaya recommends that the servers should be on separate partitions
