Can anybody tell me how to just add a for example contact form to a website created within sharepoint portal server 2007.

So I created a page, which I published and approved. The page is visible in my navigation bar. When I click on this navigation item called Form I want a form to be shown.

I already checked InfoPath and published the form to my MOSS 2007 environment. But then I get the document library option and I do have to click on New, etc. But I just want a plain form like on regular websites. Do I have to create my own web part in order to establish this?

Many thanks for your respons!

Kind regards,
Jos Walrave

Actually, it's a forms library, and, yes, the default behavior is to use the "Fill Out This Form" button. The reason is that each InfoPath form is a separate document; it's not a Web-style form. For that behavior, you have to roll your own Web part.

You can create the form in infopath 2007 and make it IE compatible, where users do not have to have InfoPath to fill out and submit the form. These can be accessible to your users and then submitted to SharePoint Forms library.

When publishing Infopath and SharePoint will have a URL for the form. We use this option all the time internally at our organization.

Correct; we do this with our system service request form. The link is a direct URL and the form opens in Infopath.

We have yet to upgrade to MOSS, so that's what we live with.

But I want to make the form public as a web page.
