Hi everyone,
I have a Merlin Magix release 4.0 and I want to be able to press a button on my phone to release a lock to open a door at my establishment.
I have a:
Processor CKE5
412 TDL
024 TDL
016 T/R
Merlin Messaging
Do I have the right equipment to make this happen and if so where do I begin in the programming?

Thank You All,
Cmo101

Usually the "interface" for a door controller is connected to a single-line telephone port (as on your 016 T/R module) - buy you need to check the documentation for your specific interface.

Thanks tdaugirdas,
Does that mean I need a contact closure adjunct?
Will the adjunct that is designed for Partner work?
I dont see anything in the documentation on contact closure adjuncts.
Do I just connect the adjunct to the analog port and assign that port an extension and have someone dial that extension to activate the adjunct?

Thank You,
Cmo101

Yes you do need some type of door phone/door lock adjunct (contact closure interface). There are adjuncts specifically made for the Magix/Legend. I am not sure if the Partner adjunct will work. The Partner processor has a seperate Contact Closure port - the Legend does not. I would experiment with it connected to an 016 port - and then dial that extention number - to see if it activates the lock or not. If it does - just create an autodial button for that extention number.
