Anyone know how Contact Center (Symposium) keeps its date/time synced with the PBX. I've got 2 CS1000Ms in different locations that are networked together. Separate
CCMs exist at both sites and are also networked via NCC.
None of the CCM servers are configured with NTP and I've
always been told they take clock from the PBX.
However, I've got two phones in my office, one connected
via one PBX (straight digital connection) and the other,
connected to the second PBX using a 9115 controller.
The times on the two phones are 2 minutes apart. Not
sure why.
Also, I've noticed the timestamps on Contact Center
call-by-call reports are 20 minutes apart from timestamps
we place on log entries produced by a process that receives Call Offered transactions via the Meridian Link Service Manager process running on CCM. These timestamps should
be no more than 2 or 3 seconds apart.
The server on which the Call Offered messages are received are using NTP and get clock from the same source as the PBX.
So they have the same time. So how is it that the call-by-call reports have timestamps that are so far off?
It leads me to believe the CCM servers are somehow not synced with everything else. Any info how how date/time
synchronization works between the PBX and CCM would
be great
thanks
