Trying to login to Crystal Management Console and getting a looping login screen. Entering the default admin userid and hitting logon seems to refresh the screen with the message "Please enter a userid and password". No error messages - no incorrect password or userid not known. I have been able to log in before with the default admin settings. Any ideas?

OK, What has changed since you were able to log in?

( Are you using Administrator and authenticating by Enterprise ?)

I am using Administrator and authenticating by Enterprise....An unexpected shutdown of the box corrupted the web connector and web component server services - causing a reinstall. Now I need to apply the processor keys over the default standard keys, so I'm trying to login to the Console. The weird thing is that after typing Administrator and leaving password blank and hitting login - the page appears to simply refresh. There's no login error. Here's another oddity: using Crystal Configuration Manager, I was able to stop, revise properties, and restart the Web Component service without an admin login.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi, It sounds like the Web Component Server and/or the Web Connector are still not working correctly.
Are all the servers on one box?

Try deleting the WCS and creating a new one..

( I admit the lack of any error message is puzzling - perhaps the csp pages got hosed and are not actually submitting to the correct next page?)

Good Luck...

all the servers are on one box - and to complicate matters - the web app that provides the reports can run and display a current report without any problems. I just need to enter the keys so that we don't get hit with the 5 user limit. I have to admit - I am getting a bit frustrated that it will not let me login. Is there a way that the password can be pulled out of the APS database?

Onegurl did you ever fix this issue? If so, how? I am running into the same issue and it really does suck.

I have CE installed on my C: and E: (local) partitions. Not sure if this has anything to do with it.
