console locks after boot

My PIX 520 is having console problems. I connect to it with Hyperterminal and can see the boot process finish successfully, but when the prompt appears the console locks up and won't accept any key input. Telnet to the unit works fine, and its operating normally otherwise. Any hints?

Are you sure you have the right hypre term settings ie 9600 bytes etc.. ?

Make sure the ScrLk key is disabled on your keyboard.
