Console going into Night mode

I have a console that goes into night mode all by itself. One minute it is active and the next second it is in night without touching a button.
Anyone seen this problem before and can you suggest what cold be wrong?

Try and replace the adapter that plugs into the console for the headset. When the headset is removed the console will go into night mode if no other consoles are logged on.

don't no if you found it yet, most of the time that is in the handset/headset. either the 2 prong plug or the cord. the console goes into nights when it sees that connection go open.. a loose connection internal to the console could cause that problem, but the console would almost have to be moved to cause the connection to change states

Found it. The adapter was flaking out. I replaced it and all is well. Thanks to you,mluckie and hawks.

What are your thoughts on the attendant pc?

put a few in when they 1st came out, didn't care for them. they needed rebooting to often.. that's been 5 years or so, maybe they are more reliable now. i am pushing for 3905 acd with the symposium front end.. very clean, and with a add-on module not a bad set.. we just picked up the symposium so the dollar side is in place
