Conputer configuration snapshot

Dear All,

We require to save a snapshot of all the details of a particular computer, including hardware and software at particular time so that we can compare with future results.

Kindly advise.

First of all, do you have Unicenter Asset Management?
If not, and we are only talking about TNG, then you should use some utility like MSINFO to obtain the required snapshot. At tis time, TNG can be used to launch the application tru Workload

I forgot to metion that we have Asset Management (3.2). We also have Software Delivery (3.1).

Accordingly, can you please advise on how we can take the snapshot using AMO ?

Well, in this case, all you have to do is instruct your computer to run the agent, and you will have all the HW details. The out-of-the-box configuration shipped with AMO (UAM) already is ready to give you this info when the agent run.

Thanks again for the information. Currently we have the AMO agents running every day with the login script.

My concern is whether AMO holds all the data, including any changes in the configuration. Also we need to retrive that configuartion as at a partuicular date. This is especially useful for us in cases of software applications and files, where users can install and uninstall software.

One last note. We are also taking a back-up every day of the databases.
