I have successfully set up vpn from one office to another. XP dialing in to Windows Server 2000 via a Solwise SAR715PV ADSL Router with hardware vpn at the xp end and a zyxel prestige 650r-31/33 adsl router at the windows server 2000 end. I can connect fine but was wondering why I would lose the connection for no apparent reason and very frequently.

Thanks in advance.

VPN client disconnection issues

1. If it is XP and you use ICS/ICF, disable ICS/ICF or install latest SP.
2. It could be idle time issue. Go to Remote Access Policies to make change.

I've discovered the connection isn't actually lost as I can still ping the server it is terminal services that is disconnecting me when someone else in the office connects. When I reconnect it disconnects the other person and so on and so on.

Why would it do this?

Thanks in advance.
