i`m using cisco 878.
i`ve created 2 different vlans "!
interface Vlan1
ip address 192.168.1.100 255.255.255.0

!
interface Vlan2
ip address 192.168.2.100 255.255.255.0 "

i want connectivity between 2 VLANs

???

if you have two physical interfaces, should have no problem, should know about physically connected networks. whats the rest of your config look like?

you can either use static routes or a routing protocol like OSPF. what you want to do is tell 1 VLAN about the other and what interface to find the other VLAN. for example:

conf t
ip route 192.168.1.100 255.255.255.0 fa0/0

He doesn't need to tell one VLAN about the other - they are routed from virtual interfaces on the same L3 device.

They are directly connected. Do as Vince says. He is right. He is always right. So am I. Well, I was wrong about something back in '78, but I never admitted it. Mathematically, the two wrongs make a right.

Didn't see that it was on the same device. My apologies.
