I have a website that will, on occasion, give me the error 'The Connection was refused when attempting to contact I get the error in all browsers (Mac IE, IE, NS, Opera.) Then, out of the blue, when I refresh the page, it will load as normal as if nothing happened. The issue is just with this one website. I can visit other sites on the web with no issue. I also have someone offsite (the client) who is having the same issue with this same website. I can often get the problem to go away by opening another browser window with a different broswer. By this I mean that if I got the error with IE, I can open up a NS window and hit the page and sometimes that will make it work. Sometimes it will not make it work. The website is an e-commerce site with a front end written in ASP which links to a MAS 200 web engine generated e-commerce piece. The site worked for a month straight with no errors and now we have had these errors many times a day for a week now. Any help would be most excellent.

Clear you Temporary Internet Files cache, and your History cache. In IE, Tools, Internet Options, you will see the selections to clear the Files and the History under the General tab.

Thanks bcastner for the response. This doesn't appear to be a cache issue because it happens sparadically and not always. I have also tried it on several computers that have never visited this site and the site will still error off with the 'Connection' error. The one thing which worked again this morning is that I when received the error in IE, I opened NS and tried hitting the site, which worked. I then refreshed in IE and it worked as well. Could this be something with session variables?
