IPO R11 SP1 trying to utilize Avaya Equinox for IPO locally. They have Essential, I have the softphone license, and it appears everything is set-up correct (but obviously not). The user can connect, but after about 20 seconds it comes back with "connection to phone server lost with Equinox". I have turned off Windows firewall and still have the same error. Pings to the phone system work fine. Any idea what would be causing this error?

A little more info. If I click on contacts I can search contacts on the system fine so there is some connectivity. You cannot click to call the contact though.

Can anyone verify that they have this working on Essential Edition? I went to the site and connected directly to their network and still get the same error. Connection to phone server lost. If I open Monitor it doesn't show any issues with the connection, but if I look at SIP extension status in Monitor it does show the license as "no license".

If i check the knowledgebase then a basic user on essential should be able to use equinox with the softphoen license.
Only on Windows and MacOS though.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I know that is what it says, but when originally ordering this from our distributor they told us to order Power User which I told them was not what the docs said and they assured me this was correct (even though I told them this was essential). So, after getting a Power User license that didn't work I ordered the Softphone license which did load properly and allow me to check Enable Desktop/Tablet Mobile Client. But, it still loses connectivity right after logging in. I was hoping someone could verify that they have set-up Equinox on Essential Edition as I almost feel like even though Avaya is saying it is supported that it is not working properly yet. This is a Windows laptop install.

Can anyone verify they have set-up Equinox in Essential Edition? I can't connect even when on-site and connecting directly to their network. I get a "Network lost, check connection" message. I have set this up on preferred edition no problem for another client and am wondering if even though the docs say it is supported/working that maybe it is not.

Quick update: I opened Equinox just now to do some testing and it said there was an update available. I applied the update and now it is working as it should! I think there was something wrong with the original Equinox and the update fixed it. Although it is weird that it still states it is at R3.4.10.10.2 which is what I originally installed. Not going to question it though as it is now magically working.
