Hi I've created an application in Access 2003 which links tables from an Oracle ODBC database (9.2home).
A number of queries are scheduled the results of which are auto mailed, however The problem I have is that unless I'm already logged onto ORACLE I get promted for a User Name and Password. Is there a way of adding a connection string of some kind?

Thanks Jon

Have you selected the keep password option in the table links manager ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Hi,

Yes I tried that out, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I'll try again though.

Cheers

Hi - If anyone is interested, I sorted it in the end by creating a File DSN in Administrative Tools Data sources(ODBC)instead of a System DSN - The File DSN method allows you to add UIDs amd PWDs under the advanced function.
Cheers Jon
